Lt Gen BS Jaswal (Retd) is from a traditional Army family background A true nationalist and patriot, his Father was a British Commissioned Officer, his elder brother got martyred in 1965 war and his son is also a Colonel in his very battalion. He is an epitome of professionalism and during his service he set standards worthy of emulation by all and sundry. He rose to the second highest rank tenable in the army (Army Commander) and was the Army Cdr of the most prestigious, powerful and largest command in the Indian Army, i.e. the Northern Command.
